Lee Marvin was 'Born under a wandrin' star', Norman Greenbaum was seeing 'Spirits in the sky', Matthew had his Southern Comfort, Christie sang about 'Yellow River' and Freda Payne had her 'Band of Gold'. Monty Python slithered onto our screens and you could call the Goodies... Anytime!!!

Everton were League Champions and England were on their way to defend the World Cup in Mexico. Chelsea were on the way to Wembley to play in one of the most exciting Cup Finals to be played at the old Stadium. It was the first Final top go to a replay... and what a battle that was...
