After his recent brush with death, Mac (Gary Sinise) returns for a ninth and final season of crime solving and is wasting no time turning up the heat on New York's bad guys. However, New York is a city plagued by unhappy memories for the team when a series of unsolved cases that haunt the department rear their ugly heads.
