Lindsay (Estella Warren), a beautiful young woman living in Manhattan has a problem; the fear of commitment. Her attempts to figure out why she flees from every good relationship are stalled when her therapist (Whoopie Goldberg) leaves on summer vacation. Undeterred, and with the assistance of some social networking, Lindsay organises a group session for Manhattanites who are frustrated by their absent therapists.
The comedy soon escalates as the misfit group learn how to help each other’s neuroses and Lindsay, who’s become mutually attracted to a fellow member A.J. (Justin Kirk), discovers that her fear of commitment and his fear of abandonment may be the very things that allow love to blossom.
