The FIFA Manager series returns in FIFA Manager 08. This title builds on all aspects of its predecessors, while introducing innovative new features.
Players take on the role of a Football Manager and must manage every aspect of their favourite team, hopefully making them a huge success. More emphasis has been put on including a large number of regional leagues than ever before, with the sixth English league now included. Building a successful team is more in-depth than ever before. Players must now be scouted with the help of employed staff, and can no longer view all players’ stats but a rough estimate instead. Dressing room chemistry is another improved feature, and if promises to players are not upheld they will begin to play poorly.
The game’s interface has been redesigned to make it more accessible and display more key information at once. Other new features include a simulation mode, where 20 seasons can be simulated in one sitting, and personal awards for managerial skill. There is also an extensive database with over 75,000 entries on historical league results.
With improved graphics, new features and the ability to create your own stadiums, FIFA Manager 08 covers enough ground to keep gamers more than satisfied.
