In a zombie-infested Australian wasteland, soldier Rhys has dedicated his life to tracking and capturing survivors for the Surgeon General in hopes of finding a cure. He is convinced that his actions are good, so when he captures a mysterious half-zombie, half-human indigenous girl named Grace, he believes she may be the key to ending the apocalypse.
