Ice climbing is an offshoot of mountain climbing. Climbing ice started in the early days of mountain climbing as climbers encountered the hard water ice in the gullies and faces of their lofty objectives. With this experience you will be given an introduction to a very cool sport! The UK’s most challenging ice walls offer 8 metres of real indoor ice climbing - inside at a constant temperature of -12°C a concave, real ice climbing wall presents a steep challenge for all aspiring adventurers!

Ice Climbing for 1 and 2:

You’ll be met by an instructor who will brief you on important health and safety matters before kitting you up with outer clothing, axes, crampons, harnesses, helmets and eye protection and making sure you are ready for your adventure!  You’ll stay with your instructor for the rest of the experience who will guide you up the ice wall, giving you the best advice and motivation to reach the top!

• There are no minimum or maximum height or weight restrictions.
• Participants should be in good general health and fitness, and should be able to support their own body weight. If participants have any concerns regarding their ability to take part in this experience, they should check before booking.
