New York playwright, Sidda Walker (Sandra Bullock - Miss Congeniality) is high on life with her new play opening on Broadway and her pending wedding to the gorgeous Connor.
But following an unguarded magazine interview, Sidda unintentionally reveals more than she planned about her childhood and fragile relationship with her eccentric mother, Vivi (Ellen Burstyn).
