A bumbling couple whose marriage was probably not conceived in heaven, stumble into a wicked world as they celebrate their wedding anniversary. Forceful, frustrated Mildred (Yootha Joyce), and her hen-pecked and harassed husband, George (Brian Murphy), move with sublime innocence into the underworld of crooked businessmen, shady casinos and tough crooks, in which they also face temptation in the shape of a beautiful woman for George and champagne and roses for Mildred.
