Naked in its irreverence, in its energy and in its dead-eyed satire, this celebrated sketch show took over where the BBC Radio Scotland's Naked Radio had left off. Still Scottish in its origin the television series took a wide aim at British 80's life.
Among the show's best-loved recurring characters were George Fisher's street philosopher Rab C Nesbitt (who first hit the TV screens in this series) raging at anything that moved, Helen Lederer's drunken Sloane Ranger's monologues from a wine bar, John Sparkes' anorak clad, Welsh poet Siadwell nervously reciting his work from his bedroom and Baldy Man, another Fisher creation, who's unconvincing comb-over was to suffer many a trial.
