They were known simply as “The Lost Boys”. Orphaned during the Sudanese Civil War, a group of young refugees are given the opportunity to leave their camp and resettle in America. Encountering the modern world for the first time, they develop an unlikely friendship with an employment counsellor (Reese Witherspoon), but they struggle to adjust to their new life and their feelings of guilt about those they left behind.
