Vulcan: A Farewell To Arms

The film recalls the earliest days in the Vulcan's career with the prototypes' appearances at Farnborough in the 1950s and rare behind-the-scenes film of the V-Force at RAF Waddington including a stimulated "nuclear alert" squadron scramble. Vulcan crew also provide a graphic first-hand account of the plane's only wartime sorties - flying Black Buck missions to The Falklands to bomb Port Stanley Airfield.
The highlight of the film, however, is the Vulcan's final, thrilling appearance at RAF Cranfield, with a special escort flight from the world famous Red Arrows display team. Air-to-air shots from the Red Arrows' chase plane and spectacular footage from the Vulcan's flight deck record the bomber approaching Cranfield.
