Junk Space Ball Clock
29,49 €

A clock from outer space
Space is a vacuum, however, that doesn't mean it's empty. Using detailed imagery, this innovative handless clock depicts just how busy it really is up there!
Thousands of nuts, bolts and other debris from space missions, as well as old satellites themselves, orbit the earth at startling fast speeds – some bits and pieces hurtle along at up to 17,500mph. Add thousands of still-functioning satellites to the mix (after all, between the internet, television, telephone and sat-nav, we're more reliant on orbital technology than ever before) and it's no wonder the objects circling the atmosphere are labelled as 'space junk'! Just take a look at the clock face to get an idea of how far-reaching the debris is.
Instead of the traditional clock hands, a built-in hidden magnet moves around the clock face as the hours pass, carrying a mini magnetic moon-shaped ball with it. The 'moon' literally orbits the clock face in order to tell the time. It's an ingenious way to show the time without the use of a minute or hour hand.
Features:
- Innovative handless clock
- Detailed imagery creates a true image of what the earth looks like from space
- Contemporary design
- Science meets style with this unusual clock
- Perfect for use at home or in the workplace
- Requires 1x AA battery (not included)
Size:
- Dimensions: 25.5 x 25.5 x 3cm
- Weight: 335g
- thumbsUp!
