If you've had a whale of a time sending the original Big Trak around a homemade obstacle course, then get ready for the baby version - Big Trak Jr! Like its daddy, the junior version is a re-working of the classic, fully programmable roving robot that obeys your commands. It's so retro you can almost feel the brown flares. It can travel forwards and backwards, turn and fire its (fake, we hasten to add) photon cannon.
To give it a rather intergalactic slant, the Big Trak Jr comes with some cool moon crater obstacles for you to negotiate (it might be a necessity after you annoy the cat once too many). The rather brainy control panel allows you to select the distance it travels, the angle it turns and at exactly what point the photons fire, repeat functions ad infinitum and a whole host of other clever stuff. Of course, one of the main functions of the original Big Trak was being able to pop a cup of tea on top and send it to your dad in the lounge, but the Jr version might be a tad too small for that - and the less you combine it with hot liquids the better.
In short, the Big Trak Jr is just like the original big version - unbeatably cool to look at, great fun to muck around with and basically an excuse to be a kid again. But smaller.
