As Gideon writes, coldly detached from the human tragedy of his stories, angry powers from man's ancient past are gathering. The forces of good, represented by alien angel Helith, and the forces of evil, represented by Helith's evil brother Asrael are preparing to battle to the end - dragging Harlax into a struggle that threatens the survival of the planet.
