Darkness-dwelling Fungus, his beloved wife Mildew and son Mould are exiled to the surface. There, they encounter the ‘Dry Cleaners’ (as in drier and cleaner than Bogeymen) of Daventry and begin to wonder what their job of scaring people is all about. Then there’s Wendy and Daryl Snow, who live on the surface with their daughter Lucy and wind up with Fungus and his family as their neighbours. Until now, life for the Snows has been relatively straightforward, but when the Bogeys move in next door things soon start to change. Also starring Joanna Scanlan, Keeley Hawes and Marc Warren.
