When Jennifer Corvino (Jennifer Connelly), the daughter of an American film star, moves to a prestigious Swiss boarding school she is instantly labelled a 'Freak’ by her shallow classmates due to her extraordinary gift to telepathically communicate with insects on an instinctive level. But there’s one person who doesn’t think she’s a freak, Dr. MacGregor (Donald Pleasance). In-fact he thinks what Jennifer has is a gift and persuades her to use her skills to help catch a serial killer who is targeting the Boarders of the school.
