Using recent film as well as film collected over the last century, we see how
London has changed yet in many ways how it has stayed the same. The main
vistas of London are viewed from a river boat, a tube train and a car and
contemporary views taken from the same vantage point are compared with
rarely before seen footage from the late 19th century and the early 20th century.
We see that in spite of wartime bombing damage, modern planning and
developments, many of the buildings that characterise London remain and traffic
jams are still a part of London just as they were in the days of horse drawn
vehicles and omnibuses.
