This video charts its history from the early 1930s, through its use by the Bank of England during the War, to its demolition in 2003 and the regeneration of Trentham Gardens. People danced to the bands of Norman Jones, Reg Bassett - and top names like Joe Loss. They met their future husbands and wives here. The Last Waltz event in 2002 was a unique chance to re-create the golden age of ballroom dancing at Trentham.
